Following the success of their sophomore release and with the addition of legendary vocalist Stu Block to the fold, The Midgard Project decided it was the perfect time to revisit and reimagine their debut album 'Music of the Spheres'.

As with their previous release, the group have once again sought out the infallible production services of Rich Gray (Gray Matter Audio) to undergo the task of remixing and remastering the album while also including a few surprises along the way.

This effort was an attempt at bridging the old with the new, providing some cohesion to the Midgard Project sound, and to allow for some closure on past endeavours that helped to them to arrive where they are today.

I've loved Katsionis's work since his days with Firewind. His Stray Gods album was a little too Miaden-sounding for me, but this album does the Queensryche/Fates Warning thing right. You can hear an influence, but it is its own entity that can stand alone and should be promoted more because everyone deserves to hear this! ewilt15
